Original tutorial by my friend Draga here: www.youtube.com I modified the tutorial to fit the third uniform hammer. To be honest, this is my first prop. Like, my first prop that I made all by myself. So I'm actually pretty proud of me. It took roughly around... well, this is the one of the cheapest ways to make the hammer, so after getting all the materials and whatnot, and making sure I had everything, it probably took around 19 hours or so (over the course of three days, that is). Materials (purchased from Michael's Arts & Crafts store) Three sheets of red poster paper Two sheets of charcoal black poster paper Two large styrofoam circles 'BASICS' acrylic black paint Foam/sponge brushes (in case you don't have any) A large styrofoam conehead NOTE: This all added up to about $30 or so~ Other materials (purchased from joann's and Home Depot) 1.5 yards of upholstery foam ($24 from joann's) A long wooden dowel rod staring at 3 cm in diameter (I started out big and it was around $1.59/ft, so since I'm 5'11", I got a 6'2" pole and paid around $12 for it) I actually did have some fun making this and my friend Steven took me out in-between the painting process for Fruplosion smoothies *yummm* I'll be debuting third uniform Lavo over the summer for three private photoshoots.
