OPEN ME - Just a quick tutorial on how you can jazz-up your old lamp with a beaded fringe that you can find from a craft store or fabric store. You can also add some rhinestones, stickers or ribbons to personalize it further; according to your own taste and style. Have fun in the process. This is a perfect project for the summer. :-) Apologies for cutting the video a little as I got out of focus and blocked the camera; this is a short video but you'd see a picture of the lamp at the end of the video. Please don't forget to rate and subscribe if you enjoyed watching my videos.

This lesson incorporates music and art! Rattles are one of the few musical instruments found throughout the world. Construct a clay pod inspired by natural shapes like shells or gourds. Inside, place pellets made of clay or beans or rice to create the sound. Your students will not only learn about sculptural structures but also how different shaped pods and pellets will produce a variety of sounds and tones. After building your Percussive Pod, have a rhythmic concert! Traditionally, eggshell mosaics are made by first dying then positioning each shard individually — a time-consuming and delicate process. This project introduces a new way to crush and color eggshells, creating intricate veining and texture all at once without pre-dying or arranging each fragment. The simple glue-and-paint process and satisfying "crunch!" of breaking eggshells will delight children of all ages and skill levels. Functioning as both a painting and a print, a Monotype is unique and irreproducible. This simplified, water-based process uses acrylic paint, printing foam and fabric. The technique builds the print a layer at a time and tools are used to remove or "subtract" color between layers. Stretch the finished print ona gold macramé ring for an instant frame.
