How to cut up your duct-tape corset form into basic, vertical flat pattern pieces, and then how to figure out which pattern pieces to modify (to reduce the waist area) and how much to modify each piece. There are 3 different methods for modifying the pieces: a) Taking off the same amount from each of your "workable" sides (all sides except center front and center back) b) Only reducing the panels that you deem most important (for instance, if you need more bum room, only widen the back panels at the bottom) c) Reducing every pattern piece based on the size of each piece and it's % of the total circumference: foundationsrevealed.com After cutting your pattern pieces from the duct tape form, transfer the pieces onto large paper or bristol board and modify them as you wish. Then create your new, "workable" pattern pieces from paper, cloth, cardboard etc. and create your mockup to test the fit in fabric!
