This tutorial will show you how to make an orange fruit cane from polymer clay. The cane slices can be used to top cupcakes, tarts, cakes, etc. You can also use the baked slices to create citrus Nail Art. Just bake the slices, and use nail glue to apply them. The flesh mixture is 90% translucent clay, with 5% orange, and 5% yellow. I was first introduced to this color combination by Angie Scarr. She is amazing! This video explains the process of making a simple armature for sculpting a puppet design or maquette. A parrot is featured in this video, a great bird to practice with. I'm not a super realistic drawer.. I'm like in between fun - realistic. I used Prismacolor colored pencil. The paper is matte board. Heres a few tips... White should never completely be white... add all sorts of colors in with the white to make the white more realistic (I know it sounds crazy but look at the finished piece and look at the white part of the parrot see all the colors?!)
