I wanted to experiment more with carving faces after a good attempt in New Zealand: www.youtube.com Again a Buddha carving, or two of them actually which was my original plan... I totally botched up one of the two by ruining the proportions from the start. You'll see me 'dealing' with that mistake in the video hehe (Sorry Mr. Buddha). But hey, that's learning. I choose again a Buddha because it is an androgynous face, with clean simple lines. I think it's a nice way to get into carving human shapes more. The sculpture is sanded to about 80 grit, and finished with Wax for a change, because oils would make the cypress far to dark. All projects are made in my workshop, Haren, Netherlands.
Mum gave me a box. I had to decorate it. Nuff said ;) ? Most of my supplies are from MiniatureSweet on Etsy: www.etsy.com
